Star Children’s Charity is a new organization that seeks to improve the lives of children living inCollin County. In order to provide the critically needed funds for worthy organizations such as the Samaritan Inn, Star will be holding three major fundraisers. On June 18, 2008, The Samaritan Inn welcomed 58 ‘tweeners’ from Custer Road United Methodist Church Vacation Bible School. The ‘tweeners’ are kids who will be entering the 6th grade in the fall. They were divided into 3 groups and taken on a tour of The Inn where they learned more about homelessness and those who experience it.
The Samaritan Inn depends on the community for its support and sharing what we do here with those who will someday represent ‘the community’ is very important to us and those we serve.
We are always available to provide tours and would be very happy to visit your group, class, organization or team and share information about the Inn, our program and the services we provide to those who are experiencing homelessness. Please contact Lynne Sipiora, Executive Director, at (972) 542-5302 to schedule a speaking engagement. Thank you for your support. |
